The collection of carriages is traditionally regarded as the finest in the world of this type of vehicle. The Museum of coaches is one of the most visited Lisbon, it presents an outstanding collection of carriages dating from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century.
Through the various models, we rediscover the evolution of transport techniques and advances in decorative art.

The museum does not merely present Portuguese coaches, found the horse-drawn of all the major royal and imperial powers of Europe: France, Italy, Austria and Spain in particular. The baroque carriages and other vehicles are of royal luxury and refinement off peers. Superb.
