Apart from famous paintings and European Portuguese ( Adoration of Saint Vincent, Saint Jerome in Prayer, Temptation of St. Anthony ..), the museum is also known for the cultural treasures found and brought back former Portuguese colonies . Given the talent of the Portuguese navigators (Vasco da Gama ...), the artifacts are very diverse: almost all objects of the coast of Africa, Chinese porcelain and even Japanese screens from the Art Nanban. Art Nanban has been developed by the Japanese during the arrival of Portuguese in Japan in the sixteenth century.
