The circuit of Sepang is a circuit recently designed by German architect Hermann Tilke, Dad circuits in Shanghai and Bahrain. The Sepang circuit is located 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. 5.54 km long, it saw a Michael Schumacher make the show for his return after a broken leg, having left the beaten track a few months.

The Malaysian Grand Prix F1 therefore takes place since 1999, opening the site, the 1st weekend of April. Jenson Buton which it was imposed in 2009, after the 56 laps and a race distance of 310.41 km. The lap record is held by Juan Pablo Montoya in 1min 34s 223 of Williams-BMW in 2004. But the record for the pole position is The property of Michael Schumacher's 1min 33s on Ferrari 074, also in 2004.
The motorcycle GP takes place in early February. Valentino Rossi has won in 2008 but finished second in 2009 behind Casey Stoner.
