The islands of Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands focused on 500 square kilometers, northwest Malaysia near Thailand, in the delta of Malacca in the Andaman Sea. It is a paradise for relaxation especially renowned in South-Eastern Asia, with its beautiful white sand beaches. The site of Langkawi is a Unesco Geopark. The Geoparks of UNESCO parks are known for their geological value. Everything is summarized in the name of Langkawi, which means eagle (Lang) and Marble (Kawi), 2 of exceptional wealth of the place. The Gunung Raya, located on the main island of Kuah dominates the archipelago with its 890 meters.
