Landscape
Many contrasts between the vicinity of Lake Enriquillo, West Point and coconut trees to the east.
South Central is the most platte country, region of Santo Domingo. This is where farming is concentrated. The center of the country is very mountainous, with the top Caribbean, Pico Duarte culminating at 3088 meters. There are several peaks over 2,500 meters in the Cordillera Central. Other ranges are lower, but there has not provided much of the way through and it is mostly the work around. The temperature range is high between the sea and the interior, which results in varied landscapes, we find eg connifères altitude where you can not imagine being in the Caribbean.
